From lost to found, step by step
Ranga guides both owners and finders through a safe, verified process — no guesswork, no unsafe meetups.
How it works
A straightforward path from lost to yours again.
Step 1
Report it
Tell Ranga what you lost, where and when. For documents, add the name printed on it.
Step 2
Get matched
AI-powered matching checks every new found item and alerts you when one looks like yours.
Step 3
Prove it's yours
Confirm the document number or answer the finder's private question.
Step 4
Get it back
Pay the Recovery Fee with MoMo, meet the finder, and confirm you have your item.
Every step, and why it’s there
Ranga is built so neither the owner nor the finder ever has to just trust the other person blindly.
Step 1
Report what was lost
The owner describes what they lost — category, location, date. Takes about two minutes.
Step 2
Someone finds it
A finder reports the item, or claims it directly from the owner's report. Ranga's matching engine compares category, location, dates and description to find likely pairs.
Step 3
Owner verifies ownership
Before anything else happens, the owner answers a few private questions only the real owner would know. This is what stops a stranger from claiming someone else's item.
Step 4
Owner pays the Recovery Fee
A single, upfront fee covers the finder's reward and Ranga's service. There's no separate "commission" line — the owner sees one clear amount.
Step 5
Ranga holds the money safely
The payment doesn't go to the finder yet. Ranga holds it until the item has actually changed hands — so neither side has to trust the other blindly.
Step 6
Owner and finder meet
Contact details unlock and messaging opens up. The two arrange a safe place to hand the item over — with in-app reminders if either side goes quiet.
Step 7
Owner confirms they got the right item
Only the owner can mark a recovery complete. This is the checkpoint that protects the finder from a dishonest "I never got it" claim, and protects the owner from a wrong or fake item.
Step 8
Reward released — recovery complete
The moment the owner confirms, Ranga releases the reward to the finder automatically. Not a moment before.
The finder isn't paid immediately
Payment happens after verification, but the reward itself only moves after the owner confirms the item.
Ranga holds the money in between
Between payment and confirmation, funds sit with Ranga — not with either the owner or the finder.
This protects both sides
An owner can’t walk away without paying. A finder can’t be paid for handing over nothing. Everyone has a reason to follow through.
